TYPOGRAPHIC COLLAGE
EXPERIMENTATION IN DESIGN

Drawing inspiration from Milton Glaser’s collage art, I created a collection of original pieces using found objects that center on typography. These artworks are referential in nature, drawing from a wealth of disparate and oftentimes forgotten tropes from previous art movements and historical periods, and fusing them with a playful visual language that first emerged in the 1960s and continues to influence contemporary design. Through these pieces, I pay homage to the past while also creating something entirely new and fresh, making unexpected connections between seemingly unrelated elements to produce works that are both visually engaging and conceptually rich.
